"This astonishing debut espionage thriller depicts the collision course between two geniuses, one a tortured hero and one a determined terrorist, in a breakneck story reminiscent of John le Carré and Robert Ludlum at their finest.

PILGRIM is the code name for a world class and legendary secret agent. His adversary is a man known only to the reader as the Saracen. As a young boy, the Saracen barely sees his dissident father beheaded in a Saudi Arabian public square. But the event marks him for life and creates a burning desire to destroy the special relationship between the US and the Kingdom. Everything in the Saracen’s life from this moment forward will be in service to jihad.

At the novel’s opening, we find ourselves in a seedy hotel near Ground Zero. A woman lies face down in a pool of acid, features melted off her face, teeth missing, fingerprints gone. The room has been sprayed down with DNA-eradicating antiseptic spray. All the techniques are pulled directly from Pilgrim's book, a cult classic of forensic science written under a pen name.

In offering the NYPD some casual assistance with the case, Pilgrim gets pulled back into the intelligence underground. What follows is a thriller that jockeys between astonishingly detailed character study and breakneck globetrotting. The author shifts effortlessly from Pilgrim’s hidden life of leisure in Paris to the Saracen’s squalid warrior life in Afghanistan, from the hallways of an exclusive Swiss bank to the laboratories of a nefarious biotech facility in Syria.

The inevitable encounter between Pilgrim and the Saracen will come in Turkey, around the murder of a wealthy American, in a thrilling, twisting, beautifully orchestrated finale."

An End to a Beginning - A blurb of words...

I made an announcement earlier today, that I was offered a contract on a short novella I shopped around last year.  This little story has seen so much hardship.  To date, I've gotten around 25-30 rejections on it, people saying "Not quite our style!".  Which is fine, that's great.  My work, it ain't for everyone!  That's for sure.

But, perseverance pays, literally $$.  All it took was one guy, in one office, reading one story, my story, and that was it.  This will be my fifth book, and I couldn't be more excited.

I promised a blurb, and here it is.  The release can be expected in early 2014.  Enjoy!

"You're standing outside the house of the man who helped murder your eight-year-old son.  You have a gun in your pocket, one you've never fired before, one you've never had to.  You're nervous, and you threw up a few minutes ago.  Some of it is still on your sleeve.  You've heard the body has a strange way of coping with things that don't agree with it and, well, this is definitely one of 'em.

Right now, you're in Brian's shoes, and he's been waiting five long years to be where he is at this very moment.  He's dreamed, fantasized about it.  He's planned this.  Not in a sick way, at least he'd say so, but in the way a pencil eraser makes mistakes disappear.  He wants to make it right, and even worse, as the night takes him from a dilapidated drug house to a shady motel outside of Toledo, Ohio, he already knows where everything will end."

Progress Report - Hot Off the Presses

I know it's been a while, and I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately, sheesh.  It HAS been a while, and I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm not, and that's okay too.

I wanted to pop in and give everyone a brief update on the projects I'm working on.  Not much has changed except for the fact that I recently uprooted my life from SMALLTOWN, ILLINOIS and hopped on over to bitchy LOS ANGELES, CA.  What am I saying?  I love this city...

What can you expect from me in the coming months?  Well, I'm not really sure.  I wanna' say that my novella will be finished, but I can't say for certain that it will.  What I CAN promise you is some really cool cover artwork, some excerpts from coming works, and a pledge to diligently work harder and with more commitment on said projects.

Here's where I'm at, right meow with the Novella.

When Angels Scream (Novella)

I'm not proud of that measly 11%, but I'm proud of how the story is coming along so far, and how much I love it.  It's good, Science Fiction-Horror.  Space Horror, if you will, with strong characters.

Check back periodically for updates and more fun stuff to come :)
